NEW DESIGNERS 2010

Outside the Business Design Centre, Islington, London.
A view of Cleveland College of Art and Design's stand.

Hello all!

As promised, here's a little post about New Designers which took place last week (Fashion and Textiles). The college has done really well this year in gathering contacts from all areas of the design industry, whether interest in a particular student or open opportunities. I feel everyone has taken something away from the experience whether a contact, some great feedback about their work, professional skills or a focus for the future.

Well done to all the participating students....

Michael Bland, Vicky Bown, Sarah Claydon, Vanessa Cooper, Lauren Grainger, Carley-Jo Hammond, Sarah Heseltine, Lindsey Murray, Ursula Neal, Julie Nichols, Ashleigh Reay, Sammy-Jo Stephenson, Laura Sturdy and Laura Footman.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL GRADUATING STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE!

Don't forget that the show is open until the 13th June, so if you haven't had the time to pop in, come and have a look around! There will be a number of students looking after the show if you have any questions about the work feel free to ask one of them.

Up, up and away!

Today has been extra busy as it has been the first day of setting up the show in Hartlepool Art Gallery. Everyone has been allocated their exhibition space and finishing touches have been made to the exhibition boards to make sure they look really slick.
Tomorrow will be our final day of preparations where we will be making final decisions on the placements of our work and how to hang and display it, whether final samples or drawings.

We are all getting very excited now for the opening night of the show on Thursday.

Thank you to everyone who has shown their support through reading this blog, joining the facebook group (if you haven't yet here it is...http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=324892350978&ref=ts), friends and family who are coming for the opening night and everyone who stops by to have a look in the next few weeks (open to the public until the 13th June).

We will be posting pictures from the night on this blog later next week, so keep your eyes peeled!
